The Bottom, Saba – The Caribbean Tourism Marketing Agency has featured Saba in the 2018 first quarter edition of its digital magazine Mélange Travel & Lifestyle Magazine. The magazine is distributed globally and published in January, April, July, and October. The Caribbean Tourism Marketing Agency promotes the Caribbean as the perfect vacation destination by highlighting its culture, food, art, people and other topics.

In the January edition of the magazine, Saba made the cover page. Included in the article is an interesting piece about Saba’s pirate history written by SABARC (Saba Archeology Center) Director Ryan Esperson, as well as a highlight of the local restaurant The Hideaway, which includes a favorite customer recipe. Other elements outlined were attractions, places to stay and travel information.

Commissioner of Tourism, Bruce Zagers, was interviewed for the article and answered questions about his vision for Saba’s tourism industry. He described Saba as ‘A place where safety, tranquility, charm, and nature are in the foreground of a visitor’s experience’

According to Zagers Saba also offers visitors an excellent culinary scene, diving, hiking, and heritage activities.

The Commissioner for Tourism said he was happy that Saba was featured in the magazine. “This type of coverage continues to create awareness about Saba and its unique offerings. The piece was an extensive one that highlighted various key attractions on the island, and I am happy that we were a part of it.”, said Zagers.
