Oranjestad- During the Town Hall Meeting at the Christine and William Flanders Community Center on September 6th 2018, Government discussed both erosion and the first plans for a new Airport Terminal and the construction of a new tower for FDR Airport.

During the Meeting, causes and solutions of the erosion on the island were highlighted. According to information presented during the Town Hall, the survey of the island with the drone was essential to get a clear picture of the erosion through out the island. Possible measures to call a halt to the further erosion was also discussed.

A short summary of the FDR airport master-plan was discussed outlining the renovations which took place in 2015. Some artist impressions of the new tower and airport terminal were presented to those present.
