Oranjestad- According to a letter sent out from the Government Commissioners, civil servants have been informed that the salary for January 2019, will be paid out later than normal.
According to the letter, dated January 18, 2019, civil servants are normally paid out a week earlier than in other months. However, this year salaries may be paid out as late as January 25th.
The reason for the late payment would be the change-over to a new system and the fact that new salary scales have been implemented for the Public Entity.
