Suriname Can Now be Reached via Copa Airlines

Toucumen, Panama- Tomorrow, July 6, will see the start of Copa Airlines’ flights between Panama City and Paramaribo.

The airline will operate the route twice per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a Boeing 737-700. The aircraft can accommodate 112 passengers in the economy class and twelve in the business class.

The new air connection will, for the first time, connect Suriname to Tocumen airport in Panama City, which offers access to 81 cities in 33 countries in the United States, Central and South America as a hub. Copa Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Latin America, has a fleet of 94 aircraft and carries more than fourteen million passengers a year.

With the arrival of the route it is possible to fly from Paramaribo to Mexico City in eight hours. The flight time from Paramaribo to Panama City itself will take 4.5 hours.
