Flat Point, Saba- SXM youngest carrier, SXM Airways, yesterday transported Minister Cornelia van Niewenhuizen from Sint Maarten to Saba yesterday.

Van Nieuwenhuizen, responsible for Infrastructure and Water Management, will be able to take a first-hand look at some of the issues Saba is confronted with.

During a recent visit, the Saba Government asked the attention of Dutch Government for various issues, such as the price of transportation between the islands. According to Government, many studies have been executed but there is also a need for concrete action.

Saba also appealed on their Dutch counter parts to not only look at the transportation through the air and pointed out that half of the visitors of the island arrive over sea.

Saba is also at the eve of a considerable investment and upgrading of the harbor.
