Philipsburg- Sint Maarten youngest carrier, SXM Airways, last week received their ICAO three letter designator (3LD) and SXM Telephony designator : St. Maarten.

According to Management, the designator is in line with their Mission Statement of Branding St Maarten to the world.

The BES-Reporter understands that, while the code was received on January 17th, SXM Airways will start using the code on their flights as of today, January 21, 2019.

SXM Airways provides charter flights from Sint Maarten to surrounding islands and back.
