TCB hosted New Jersey Travel Agents

Kralendijk, Bonaire – (June 19th, 2017) – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) and a variety of tourism stakeholders hosted a group of nine top New Jersey travel agents on a fam trip to the island, June 10 – 14, 2017. Participants of the group had strong Caribbean booking backgrounds, possessed multi-island knowledge and were well experienced in securing mid- to high end sales.

The objective of the trip was to further support the United Airlines Newark-Bonaire non-stop service and help generate more local Newark boarding passengers in the New Jersey/New York City area. Diane Curtis, Bonaire’s New Jersey multi-line sales representative, escorted the group on island. During their time on island, the travel agents visited over 10 hotels for site inspections, dined at some of Bonaire’s top restaurants, participated in a Northern and Southern island tour and went on a snorkel and sunset trip.

“We see this as a big opportunity to showcase our island to the travel agents, as they are the ones who are going to sell Bonaire. This familiarization trip are provided as a way for the travel agents to gain an understanding of what we have to offer as an island” stated Director of the tourism office; Maurice Adriaens.

TCB would like to thank all of the private sector who participated in sponsoring this trip, and provided complimentary services to the travel agents group.
