Tourism Corporation Bonaire in cooperation with Forma has created a certification program for tour guides. This program focuses on tour guides; however it would be of great value for everyone working in the tourism industry. This program was designed to teach the participants how to develop themselves into great tour guides, in the form of various fun exercises, innovative teaching methods and problem solving quizzes.
The program is sectioned in three parts; the skills part in which the topics of communication, types of people, setting rules, types of tourists, do’s and don’ts, tips and tricks and customer service are discussed.
The Fuhikubo part; which focuses on the history of Bonaire, culture of Bonaire and architecture of Bonaire.
The STINAPA part; in this section the experts of STINAPA will discuss the nature of Bonaire with all it entails and the protections of it, rules & regulations regarding the nature, geology and the Ramsar sites.
This program could be given in various language if the grouping permits, however all examination will take place in English.
