The disaster team met last night, and the decision was made to have a curfew beginning today Tuesday at 10 p.m. until Thursday morning at 10 a.m. We are doing this for safety reasons encouraging persons to stay off the roads and remain inside. Emergency services will not be going out during the storm, but the hospital and police department will be opened 24/7 during the storm. If something happens to your home, during the storm, seek shelter with a neighbor first, to avoid the danger of going out into the storm.
After the passing of Hurricane Irma, the emergency service together with public works will have to assess the damages. We do not want persons on the road sightseeing, as conditions may be dangerous. Remember to take inventory of what has happened to your property. Help yourself and help your family. The airport is officially closed as of 8 a.m.
The hospital clinic is open Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Emergency ward is open 24/7.
