Van Ark visits Mega D Youth Foundation and Daughters of the King

Oranjestad – State Secretary of Social Affairs and Labour Tamara van Ark visited the Mega D Youth Foundation and Daughters of the King after school Programs on Tuesday January 8. She did this accompanied by deputy Government Commissioner Mervyn Stegers and Carol Jack, Director of the Unit of Social Affairs.
Both Foundations will continue to receive subsidy from the Ministries of Education, Science and Culture, Social Affairs and Labour and Public Health, Welfare and Health under a new programme named Best 4 Kids. This programme will be managed by the Public Entity of St. Eustatius. Van Ark also visited a number of homes to see how people live. Before leaving today a memorandum of understanding will be signed to effect Best 4 Kids which will launch officially this week.
