Winair Supports Breast Cancer Fight

The pink WINAIR fans can be found on the WINAIR Twinotter planes, but also at events during the campaign.

Philipsburg- Winair joins the fight against breast cancer with a special campaign. Part of the campaign is a photo contest, where participants can win prizes by uploading a picture with a pink WINAIR fan.

The carriers says that October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with each year being pinker than the last. On St.Maarten much of that is thanks to the Positive Foundation and the Elektralyets Foundation, who bring us a full calendar of events that take us sailing, parading, walking, riding and much more. Fun events with a serious message; BE BREAST AWARE!

Winair says in a press release that they have supported the foundations over the years in various ways and the Pink Parade is a much-anticipated event that many of Winair’s employees participate in. Many Winair pilots always opt to wear the pink epaulets during this month and in 2016 Winair added pink ribbons on its aircraft in an effort to make St. Maarten and other Winair destinations more conscious that early detection is the key and is still the best way to fight breast cancer and save lives.

This year Winair contributes, among others, with spreading the message by means of their pink fans and by means of the photo contest.
