Philipsburg- St. Maarten-based Winair will be executing a number of flights between Antigua and neighboring Montserrat during the busy St. Patrick day celebrations on Montserrat.

The flights will be executed on March 5th, 07th, 08th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st , 2019. The flights depart on all days at 9:30 AM out of Antigua and out of Montserrat at 10:05 AM.

What makes this flight interesting is that travelers from various of Winair’s other destinations can now reach Montserrat with a stop in St. Maarten and Antigua. All flights to Antigua and Montserrat will originate in St. Maarten.

Winair not new to Montserrat

Winair is by now means new to Montserrat or Antigua. Actually, after the devastation caused by volcanic activities, Winair was the first and sole carrier to maintain scheduled flights between Montserrat and Antigua.

Later on, FlyMontserrat also started with the execution of flights, using smaller 9-seater aircraft. Winair discontinued the scheduled Montserrat flights after about 6 years.

The airline also during a short period of time was contracted by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to execute flights between Barbuda and Antigua, but those flights came to an end relatively quickly as they deemed not commercially viable.
