Kralendijk- On Friday July 21, Flamingo Airport received a special visitor in the form of a World Atlantic Airlines jet.

The plane was chartered for a group of travelers making a trip to Miami out of Bonaire, organized by Sonny Tours. The group will arrive back on Bonaire on August 2nd, 2017.

The plan was handled by the crew of ground operator Air Handling Services Bonaire (AHS), which handles the majority of airlines serving the Bonaire airport.

World Atlantic Airlines is the trading name of Caribbean Sun Airlines, an airline operating on-demand and scheduled charter services. Its corporate headquarters are located on the property of Miami International Airport. The company operates 1 MD82 and 6 MD83 aircraft. These planes are familiar on Bonaire as Insel used to operate the same jets, among others on the route between Bonaire and Miami.
