Kralendijk- Bonaire received its first Air Rally on Sunday March 18th, 2018. In total 35 crew members arrived in 14 private planes from Trinidad & Tobago. The Bonaire community came to Donkey beach and Te Amo Beach to greet and experience this event.

In the morning hours of Monday March 19th, 2018 two classes of Kolegio Kristu Bon Wardado and two classes from Kolegio San Bernardo got the opportunity to come see the planes up close. During their visit the students had the opportunity to receive information from the pilots about the aerial world. After this the participants of the Air Rally had the opportunity to explore Bonaire’s nature and history.

In the evening hours of March 19th, a reception was held where press members had the opportunity to interview the pilots participating in the Air Rally. During the reception deputy James Kroon and director of Flamingo international Airport Mr. Mario Bikker handed the members of the Air Rally a Bonaire flag and pin. This way they wanted to show their gratitude to the team for choosing Bonaire as one of the destinations. At the end of the reception the guests enjoyed a typical Bonaire folkloric dance.

The participants informed that they really enjoyed Bonaire and will do their best to come again next year. In the early hours of March 20th, the private planes left Bonaire on their way to Cartagena Colombia and then to Panama.
