Kralendijk- February 21, 2018 was an important evening for 6 hardworking women from the housekeeping teams of Den Laman, Sand Dollar and Terramar; they received their well-deserved, official diploma of the accredited housekeeping training that they followed and whic was facilitated by trainer Vronie Sieverding.

The graduation ceremony took place at The Bonairian Hotel Restaurant Lounge. With a panorama view on the sea, the sunset and Kralendijk, it was the perfect location for the occasion.

The educational material for the training has been fully adapted to the conditions and languages spoken here on Bonaire, thanks to support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association (BONHATA) says they are happy to that housekeeping staff and employers are increasingly realizing that housekeeping is not just a job, but also a profession. During the training the participants, among others, have learned to work with microfiber cloths and learned techniques which are efficient, ergonomic and hygienic.
