Willemstad – The military training and shooting range on Wacawa is used illegally by the Ministry of Defense. Follow the Money reports this on the basis of its own research. The former plantation is a protected nature reserve, where construction is prohibited. The defense on Parera was aware of this, but decided to continue construction anyway. A permit was only applied for after the Ministry of Defense realized that Follow the Money was conducting an investigation.
