JOSE ROSALES NEW CHIEF OF POLICE KPCN
Kralendijk -This week Minister of Security and Justice, Ard van der Steur, will officially nominate current acting Chief of Police Jose Rosales to King Willem Alexander for appointment as Chief of the Police Force of Caribbean Netherlands, Korps Politie Caribisch Nederland (KPCN). The appointment will go into effect on January 1st , 2017. On January 12th , the Minister will officially install the new Chief of Police during a visit to Bonaire. After the departure of the former Chief of Police, Hildegard Buitink, Jose Rosales was already acting as Chief as of March 1st, 2016. Before that he served as a Deputy to the Chief of Police. With the election of Rosales as the new commissioner, there will be a certain continuity at the police force for Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.
